About me and what I am trying to do here

Kathleen McCormick, LCSW, MPH

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with additional training in public health. I have worked in many settings with many different kinds of people from homeless kids in the Haight Ashbury to gay men and lesbians with substance use problems to older adults with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and depression to the “worried well”.  I have been a case manager, therapist, substance use specialist, trainer, clinical director and administrator. I have a broad range of interests in mental health but my main interest, above all, is to be open to what works to make people feel and do better without putting them into a diagnostic “box”.  In my experience, healing is about what we didn’t know, what we now know and what we have yet to find out. The established wisdom should and can be challenged by new ideas. Let’s walk that tightrope together as we look at different strategies, both tried and true and new and shiny, that might help to make your life not only more bearable and comfortable but also, dare I say, more fun and meaningful.

  1. Hey, Kathleen!

My name’s Jeff, and I work with a team of nurses, medical experts, and institutes aiming to help chronic kidney disease patients.

Would it be in your interest if we contribute an article or a post on your page about renal dieting? The goal is to spread more awareness about how proper diet, nutrition, and lifestyle change can help people manage, even prevent, kidney diseases.

I believe this will benefit both our sites. For one, you’ll be able to add more content to your site. Also, if you ever decide to publish the article, we plan to share it (and in turn, your site) to our social media groups and pages.

Whether you’re open or not to this idea, please don’t hesitate to let me know. Thank you, and have a blessed day!

    Warmly,

  2. Hi,

We’re wondering if you’ve ever considered taking the content from kathleenmccormicklcswmph.com and converting it into videos to promote on social media platforms such as Youtube?

It’s another ‘rod in the pond’ in terms of traffic generation, as so many people use Youtube.

You can read a bit more about the software here: https://www.vidnami.com/c/Ryan45-vn-freetrial

    Kind Regards,
    Connor
